Cléo

Here is a really rough sketch from one of my very favorite French New Wave films, “Cléo from 5 to 7,” by the ‘Grandmother’ of New Wave, Agnes Varda.
I was watching this film again and thinking how much it’s like a blog, because it follows two hours of the life of a young woman.
This entry marks the return of “Friday Favorite Films,” a day late and a week early.
Frisky Jones wanted everyone to know that he is still here in spirit and loves these films as well, but will not be making his debut until much later.

    Shari,

I’m so happy that you saw it, too. Isn’t it the best film? I love her bedroom, it’s so grand. You’re right about all those superstitions I didn’t think of them before, but they carry throughout the whole film.
