Horace, The Garden Dog
Horace is an earth friendly pillow for grown-ups, children, and babies.
He is part garden folly, dog, and sheep. Inspired by my favorite and beloved canine friend Griffin. Horace first made his debut as Griffin in my animated film, “Garden Without Flowers.”
Horace’s unique shape lends itself well to small hands, because they can easily hold and cuddle him. He also has been said to make a good meditation cushion.
He weighs about 8 to 9 ounces (.23 to .26 kilos) He is about 10 inches (25.5 centimeters) high and 13 inches (33 centimeters) wide.
He is screenprinted by TSDesigns using the REHANCE® screenprinting process which uses water-based inks, 0% plastic prints and 0% harsh resins.
TSDesigns- “Our water-based inks soak into and become part of the cloth itself, similar to the way water-color paint soaks into paper. The result is a breathable, durable print that will not crack or wash away. Our water-based inks also have excellent color-fastness and washability, keeping their color wash after wash.”
The print of Horace is on SKAL certified organic cotton twill made in the USA.
Machine- and hand- stitched with organic cotton and organic fiberactive thread.
Horace loves wool and feels well fed when he has about about half a pound of wool in him.
The Movingarden logo on the back of Horace is stamped with non-toxic water-based ink that is sealed with heat.
Horace is his most vivid colored state pre-wash. You can wash him. His color will fade only slightly and the print and fabric will get softer. When you do wash him only hand wash him in cold.
Afterwards, wring him out gently and pat him dry with a towel, then fluff and mold him back into his original shape and let him air dry.
